Short biography

Mirza Ibrišimović is a native of Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He completed his high school education in his hometown, and in 2003 he left Brčko to study in Vienna, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology with a focus on Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry and Genetics.

Ibrišimović framed his interest in the field with a doctoral dissertation on the topic of Molecular Biology and Medicine, at the St. Ana Institute for Cancer Research. Previously, he worked as the head of the microcellular product analysis laboratory at pharmaceutical company Baxter, based in Vienna. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Medical Faculty of the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, and in our clinic, he performs an important job as an Embryologist and Head of IVF laboratory.
